2024.02.26 –  London, UK: jFermi Biotechnology Ltd is excited to announce its active involvement in the Health-tech Mission to London 2024, held on 26-27 February, in London, United Kingdom. This mission, organized to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the health-tech sector, provided an invaluable platform for jFermi to engage with industry peers and gain insights into the UK market landscape.

The two-day event commenced with an informal networking dinner on 26 February, where representatives from jFermi had the opportunity to connect with fellow participants and learn from the success stories of start-up companies, including Sensible Biotechnologies and Applifting, who shared their experiences and strategies for thriving in the UK health market.

The following day, 27 February, witnessed a packed agenda of informative sessions and workshops at HubHub London. Notable highlights included:

  • Insights into the UK health-tech sector and navigation of the NHS, delivered by Neil Ebenezer from the Department for Business & Trade.
  • In-depth discussions on topics such as the National Institute of Health and Care Research, doing business in London, and health-tech in the West Midlands, featuring expert speakers Dr. Sajni Haria, Ivana Poparic, and Anil Vaidya.
  • A dynamic panel discussion moderated by Ivana Poparic, featuring representatives from UCLPartners, Health Innovation Network, Imperial College Health Partners, and WMGC, shedding light on key industry trends and opportunities.
  • Workshops on route to market strategies, funding options, and pitching techniques, facilitated by industry experts including Sven Bunn from Barts Health NHS Trust, Michael Buckworth from Buckworths, and Christian Kumar and David Ramm from Capital Kinetics.

Throughout the event, jFermi actively participated in discussions, leveraged networking opportunities, and absorbed valuable insights to further enhance its presence and offerings in the health-tech sector.
